Great Lakes AR-15 GLFA .223 WYLDE – Unboxing, Disassembly and Reassembly (Field Strip)

In the fall of 2012, Matthew and Rebecca Baker began discussing the excitement in the gun industry and their desire to get involved. By April 2013, they opened Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition, LLC, a retail store in Sparta, Michigan. Becky’s brother Nick was brought onboard to help run the company, and by the end of the year their first year in business they began producing their own line of ammunition.

They quickly discovered that there was a need in the market for well built, affordable, American-made firearms and thus began their expansion into manufacturing. They started producing components to build complete AR uppers (handguards, barrels, muzzle brakes, and gas block), then eventually expanded into manufacturing GLFA lower receivers.

This is not only GLFA’s best selling rifle, it’s our best selling product. Not only is it damn good looking… it’s extremely accurate, afforable, and made in Michigan! This thing is a tack driver!
